Much of the local water supply in Jaisalmer is toxic and unsuitable for drinking given it’s high total dissolved salts. Children are most vulnerable to Fluorosis when they consume water with high total dissolved salts. 40% of the city’s population are children. We decided to provide clean drinking water to them by partnering with government schools and installing reverse osmosis plants, which purify brackish water by dissolving its salt contents. We also installed traditional rainwater harvesting (RWH) systems to revive school reservoirs, further strengthening our commitment to sustainable water solutions and enhancing water security in the region.
