Through our collaboration with District Administration Jaisalmer, our road safety initiatives along the 15 km stretch of Sam Road, including the installation of roadside reflectors and speed breakers, have successfully prevented accidents, ensuring the safety of tourists and locals alike
Over 5,704,589 tourists visited Jaisalmer in 2022. The roads of the region face heavy traffic. As part of road safety measures, I Love Jaisalmer continuously identifies blind spots on roads leading to remote tourist locations like the Sam Dunes. Through I Love Jaisalmer’s policy advocacy, the District Administration installed roadside reflectors, and speed breakers at blind spots along a 15 km stretch of Sam Road. This road connects Jaisalmer with other prominent tourist locations like Kuldhara, Sam Dunes, Amar Sagar, and Kanoi, experiencing over 75% tourist traffic during peak months.
