Jaisalmer fort is a living fort with 5000 residents. Recognising the problems faced by Jaisalmer Fort residents during the drainage system renovation project, I Love Jaisalmer raised awareness through the District Empowered Committee and consulted heritage architects to assess the plan.

To improvise the initial construction plan, I Love Jaisalmer held meetings and led correspondence with the district authorities. Additionally, the foundation invited experts like the Former Director of RUIDP, heritage architects, and conservationists to review the project, which helped mobilise Jaisalmer Fort drainage work. Furthermore, the fort's lights, which had been non-functional for over two years, were repaired and switched back on in December 2013.
