Jaisalmer welcomed over 5.7 million tourists in 2022, causing significant road traffic.

Due to I Love Jaisalmer's policy advocacy, the District Administration installed roadside reflectors and speed breakers at critical points along a 15 km stretch of Sam Road. This road, linking Jaisalmer with major tourist spots like Kuldhara, Sam Dunes, Amar Sagar, and Kanoi, handles more than 75% of tourist traffic.
